But I didn’t always have this level of clarity.

Early in my career, I saw too many business owners struggle with financial blind spots—relying on gut instincts rather than data, unsure of how to scale profitably, and constantly feeling overwhelmed by financial uncertainty. I knew there had to be a better way.

That’s why I founded Soutar Capital – a boutique advisory firm designed to give Founders high-level financial expertise without the full-time CFO commitment. I work closely with business leaders to provide financial clarity, structure, and strategy that help them scale, improve profitability, and navigate complex challenges.

Over the years, I’ve successfully founded and managed multiple ventures, including Better Group and Orleans CrossFit, and have helped numerous organizations strengthen their financial operations. My ability to turn financial chaos into clear, strategic action plans has led to recognition, including Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 award and leading a venture named one of Ottawa’s Fastest Growing Companies.
